The kit includes the ball, charging cable, manual, and a screw-on tail. It has three modes (fast, slow, and interactive). While all modes are still quite fast, each one behaves a little differently. My cats were nervous at first, but eventually two of them started playing with it while one prefers to watch from a distance.
They enjoyed the slow and interactive modes the most, as the fast mode tends to roll quickly under furniture. The toy does move a lot, so having open floor space helps. It also picks up pet hair easily, so cleaning the area beforehand makes a big difference. Overall, it’s a fun toy that works best in a clean, open space.

This little toy exceeded my expectations. It skitters around, wagging it's long tail, then it will pause & a few seconds later, it takes off again. The flashing blue light draws the pet's attention, the pauses allow the pet some primal "stalking" activity, & it's solid enough that it can be flung around a fair amount without issue. It charged quickly, & held the charge for the hour we played with it. The pugs have a larger interactive toy, but I hate the sad whining sound it makes (horrible, really, like an animal in pain). I'm thrilled to say that this interactive "prey" toy doesn't do that. It just zooms around & offers a good chase. Suitable for small breed dogs, but not for medium or large dogs. Great for cats & I'm gifting this to a family member with a new kitten.

No suitable for a border collie puppy. Looked great and he enjoyed it but he quickly caught it and methodically took it away. I put it back together but it wouldn’t run again. The outer rim came off easily and skin that covered the ball itself was stretched out of shape. More suitable to cats and smaller dog breeds.
